The Boston Red Sox™ Iconic Fenway Park™ Turns 100!

Marking 100 years of Red Sox™ history, this limited-edition sculpture commemorates the iconic Fenway Park and its landmark centennial.

From the Green Monster to "The Triangle," from "Williamsburg" to the Lone Red Seat, the legendary Fenway Park™ is loaded with compelling baseball history. 2012 marks the centennial anniversary of the iconic Boston Red Sox™ home, making it the oldest MLB stadium in use today. For baseball fans and history buffs, it's certainly a prime opportunity to score Fenway Park 100th anniversary memorabilia.

The legacy of the Boston Red Sox™ and their beloved Fenway home is defined by significant baseball milestones and some of the greatest players the game has ever seen. Red Sox icons like Babe Ruth, Cy Young, Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski have broken records and performed amazing feats of athleticism within the confines of the hallowed ballpark. It has also been the venue for several unforgettable concerts throughout the years, including Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. And as the ultimate homage, in March of this year, PBS aired a National Geographic documentary celebrating Fenway Park's centennial.

To honor the Boston Red Sox and their beloved century-old home, The Bradford Exchange is proud to offer a selection of Fenway Park 100th anniversary memorabilia. From an illuminated stained-glass panorama capturing all the glory of the iconic ballpark, to a commemorative porcelain stein that makes every toast a home run, these limited-edition collectibles are a unique way to mark this momentous year. True Red Sox fans will want to act quickly to secure their own piece of Fenway Park history.

The MLB 2012 All Star Game Rounds Up the League's Greatest Players

With a strict limited edition of only 1,995, this illuminated sculpture honors the New York Yankees™ superstar shortstop.

Baseball season is just about halfway through, which means that the 2012 All Star Game is on deck for another year. This Tuesday night, July 10, marks Major League Baseball's annual Midsummer Classic, a time for the National League and the American League's brightest and best to give the fans a dynamic 9-inning show, or more.

Uniting the voting of MLB fans, coaches and players, and the roster selections of the AL and NL managers (usually from the previous year’s pennant winners), the All Star Game is the ultimate fantasy baseball game. This year's game is the 83rd edition, and will be played at the home of the Kansas City Royals™, Kauffman Stadium. The Texas Rangers™ Ron Washington will manage the AL All Stars, while the retired St. Louis Cardinals™ manager Tony La Russa will try to put the National League on top with some of that World Series® champions luck.

Have you cast your votes for this year’s teams? Favorite players like the New York Yankees™ Derek Jeter and the Texas Rangers Josh Hamilton seem to always make the cut, but be sure to look out for surprise additions to this year’s roster. You never know who you might see on the field in Kansas City. We’re looking forward to a great game, and may the best league win.

Before, during and after the game, be sure to check out some of our outstanding Bradford Exchange baseball collectibles. For fans of MLB memorabilia and those looking for unique ways to celebrate their favorite baseball team, we are proud to offer prized collectibles championing both National League and American League teams. Plus, we also showcase some of the league’s most dynamic players with Derek Jeter collectibles and more. With that, there’s only one thing left to say… Play Ball!

The Perfect Game: Major League Baseball's (Im)Possible Dream!

Cy Young, Don Larsen, Sandy Koufax, Randy Johnson... What do these legendary Major League Baseball pitchers have in common? A seemingly impossible feat that has been achieved by fewer MLB players than people have orbited the moon - the pitching of a "perfect game."

The Mark Buehrle Perfect Game Collector Plate quickly sold out in its limited edition of only 2,009.

A perfect game is defined by Major League Baseball as one in which a pitcher (or combination of pitchers) allows no opposing player to reach base safely, by any means at all; essentially throwing both a no-hitter and a shutout. Only 22, to date, have occurred in all 143 years of MLB history.

Since 2009, more than 20% of all perfect games ever pitched were put on the record books, scoring history-making wins for the Chicago White Sox™ Mark Buehrle (July 23, 2009) and Phillip Humber (April 21, 2012), the Oakland Athletics™ Dallas Braden (May 9, 2010), the Philadelphia Phillies™ Roy Halladay (May 29, 2010) and most recently the San Francisco Giants™ Matt Cain (June 13, 2012).

When Mark Buehrle threw his perfect game in 2009, The Bradford Exchange was quick to respond, offering a commemorative collector plate honoring his tremendous achievement. With a strict limited edition of only 2,009, The Perfect Game plate was quickly snatched up by White Sox™ fans, baseball history buffs and those seeking rare MLB memorabilia and collectibles. Be sure to visit our 2012 Major League Baseball Newswire all season long to catch more exciting collectibles news and MLB updates. In professional sports, you never know when the impossible could become possible.
