Description Description

In 1973, an unusual, peaceful series of flights departed the long-disputed skies of Vietnam. Known as "Operation Homecoming," these flights restored long-lost servicemen and women to their country and families. Now, a half century later, we are proud to recognize the heroism and courage of our brave military vets with a historic collection of 99.9% silver-plated Proofs. The undaunted spirit of America's war heroes is brilliantly honored with the Vietnam Homecoming 50th Anniversary Proof Coin Collection, exclusively from The Bradford Exchange Mint. This commemorative tribute begins with Issue One, Operation Homecoming, followed by Issue Two, Khe Sanh and Display Box. Soon your collection will continue with Issue Three, Battle of Hamburger Hill, and additional Vietnam War Proof coins, each a separate issue to follow.‡

Intended as collector's items, each commemorative coin in this Vietnam War homecoming coin collection is minted in the U.S.A., offered in coveted Proof condition and richly plated in 99.9% silver. Featured on the front sides are historic photos of U.S. veterans returning home and other important moments in Vietnam War history, selectively colored accents that recall the Vietnam service ribbon, the year of the event and a golden "U.S.A." privy mark. On the back of each Proof coin is a dramatic fully sculpted portrait of a U.S. soldier with a flag, along with the statement "HONOR OUR DEFENDERS". Your 50th anniversary coins arrive sealed in crystal-clear capsules to preserve their value for years to come, and the custom Display Box, arriving with Issue Two, is the perfect way to showcase your entire collection. It also makes an impressive patriotic gift for a military veteran or history buff. Plus, The Bradford Exchange has made a charitable donation thanking senior war veterans for their bravery and sacrifice to our country. Strong demand is anticipated, so hurry. Order now!
